Sammy fined for slow over rate

Captain Darren Sammy will part with 20 per cent of his match fee for West Indies' slow over rate during Sunday's second Twenty20 International at the Wanderers. The fine was imposed by match referee Ranjan Madugalle after West Indies were deemed to be one over short at the cut off time for the innings. The Windies players were also fined 10 per cent of their match fees for the offence. Sammy accepted both the charge and the fine, negating the need for a formal hearing.

If West Indies breach the over-rate rule within the next 12 months, Sammy will be slapped with a one-match suspension.
