Record producer Wayne Smith has signed up-and-coming reggae artiste Renyece to his record label, Nuttn Tu Supm Production, and is promoting her new single called Winter.
According to the producer, he has been working with the artiste for over five years. However, he believes 2015 is the year that she will come of age as an entertainer. The new single has been getting steady rotation on radio, and Smith hopes Winter will gradually become a hit among reggae lovers.
"She has been getting good reaction from it. It has been getting rotation on Fame FM, SunCity radio and Best FM. It's lover's rock reggae, and it's appealing to both gents and the ladies," Smith told The Gleaner.
The producer also ushered praises on the artiste, telling The Gleaner that Renyece has the full package.
"She is bringing an original, melodious voice, plus she is multifaceted. She can sing, deejay, rap, and she is also a good stage performer," he said.
Renyece has performed at several local events with the intention of creating that elusive buzz around her music. Her producer is, therefore, asking the media and music lovers to give her a listening ear.
"The support would be great, and we would be grateful for that, because she has talent, and she wants to set an example for other young artiste to follow. She works hard, and she also has patience, and those are good attributes for young artistes to have. We at the label want to make more wonderful music and make a positive impact on both the local and international scene," Smith said.
