World-class service at Label Crafts

Published:Thursday | January 29, 2015 | 12:00 AM

It is not your typical factory experience. Warm, friendly, inviting inside the premises of Label Crafts Jamaica Limited. Friendly staff await while working arduously to fill several work orders for the day.

Machines are busy purring away, printing; cutting and rolling different size labels, awaiting packaging to be delivered to clients across the island.

During a brief tour of the facility, Country Manager Beverley Lopez explained the intricate and technical processes her staff work with each day. "Each job can be designed here or the client can take in their own artwork. We then send it off to Barbados where they work on the pre-press preparation and send it back to us when it is ready for the press. This information is then sent to our printery here," Lopez said.

Each order also requires a job sheet from start to finish that includes the size, quality and type of label for the client. "We also have the capabilities to make adjustments to the information that is sent here during the printing stage, to ensure that the labels are of the right colour and texture as requested by the client," Lopez added.

With a number of machines at their disposal, they have the capacity to print more than 100,000 labels per day depending on the job type. Every effort is made to ensure that the job is done correctly.

Open Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., persons can visit 30-34 Half-Way Tree Road, across from Appliance Traders Limited, to have labels designed or printed. The client is consulted throughout the entire process, to ensure customer satisfaction.
