Heartfelt thanks to JUTC driver, passengers
THE EDITOR, Sir:
This letter serves to highlight the good deed performed by a driver of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company Greater Portmore (17) bus who diverted from the route to take my mother to the doctor at the Edgewater Medical Complex, as she was experiencing severe breathing problems.
The passengers, who played significant roles in ensuring she was well attended to while on the bus, cannot be overlooked.
An extra special thank you to the lady who came off the bus and stayed at the doctor's office until I arrived. Sadly, I didn't get her name as I rushed to attend to my mom's side when I got to the doctor's office.
I want them to know that I am eternally grateful for their acts of kindness.
It happened on Friday, January 23, 2015 about 7 p.m. Because of this great act of kindness, my mother was able to see another day. She is currently hospitalised and doing much better. She had bags of grocery with her that also made it to the doctor's office that evening.
I can say on her behalf, heartfelt thank yous to all who helped.
I really hope that their acts won't go unnoticed and just to encourage us all to continue to live in love and to look out for each other. It could have been any one of us.
