With Samsung, #youareA

Samsung has added two new members to its mobile phone family that already have fans raving - the Samsung Galaxy A Series.
The launch, which took the format of a luncheon at the Courtleigh Hotel and Suites, was a showcase for the new Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5. Both are sleek, full-metal devices, which are the thinnest and lightest Samsung models released so far.
Both phones were a hit with guests, who welcomed the opportunity to check out the new devices.
The selfie feature is one of the core features of the devices. A palm feature allows you to activate the countdown to a selfie by holding up your palm to the screen.
Other selfie features allow the user to take a wide selfie, which is a selfie version of a panoramic feature that allows you to take picture of an entire room. There is also a voice-control feature that allows you to take a selfie with a simple command.
Then there is the beauty-face feature, which allows you to alter your features before taking a selfie - like instant Photoshop.
Key accounts manager of Samsung Caribbean, Kenneth Moore, stressed to guests that the phone was targeting the youth market. While it has features that everyone will appreciate, the selfie and other social-media features will definitely attract youth to the Samsung brand.
There is no better way to get them involved than through social media. Thus, Samsung has also launched its #youareA campaign. This encourages the youth to express themselves using the hashtag #youareA followed by their description of themselves posting it to Instagram or Twitter.
Phones are expected to be available in the Samsung Experience Store at Tropical Plaza on Monday, February 9.
