The University of the West Indies (UWI) and Real Mona will meet in today's top-of-the-table clash in the Jamaica National/Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League competition.
The match will be played at the UWI Bowl starting at 3 p.m.
Real Mona lead Zone A with 18 points, four ahead of UWI. Today's match is expected to be very competitive as both teams are coming off victories in their last match.
The David Lalor-coached Real Mona, winners of their last two matches, recorded a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Allman/Woodford in their game.
"The team that wants it the most will come out on top," Lalor said yesterday.
He added: "My team is confident, but we are mindful that being at the top of the table is not always the easiest place to be because of the pressure that it brings."
Real Mona will be depending heavily on the likes of St George's College striker, Shevon Stewart along with Jordan Moses, Chad Bennett and Raymond Thompson to lead their charge to victory.
On the other hand, Marcel Gayle, coach of UWI, said today's match is very crucial for his team.
"It is a top-of-the-table clash and so it should be a keenly contested affair," said Gayle.
"It is a very important game for us because we want to remain in contention for a semi-final spot and so it is crucial that we get three points," he said. Gayle added that UWI, 2-1 winners over Shortwood in their most recent match, have been improving as the season progresses.
"We are getting up to where we want to be and so the team is very confident at the moment," he said.
Striker Akeem Tenstead, Mitch Wright and Nicholas McMorris will lead UWI's charge to victory.
In other games, Allman/Woodford tackle Maxfield Park, Shortwood United entertain August Town at Barbican, Brown's Town await Santos at Vauxhall High School and Mountain View will battle Bull Bay at Excelsior High School.
