Public has lost trust in Holness
THE EDITOR, Sir:
The dastard and illegal action by the leader of opposition in breaching the Constitution of Jamaica to maliciously remove two senators has sent shock waves among the electorate. How can anyone who has sworn before God and man to uphold the very basis thread of human rights (the Constitution) breach such solemn trust, all in the name of self- and position preservation?
How do we know that should he become prime minister, Andrew Holness' commitment to the oath of office won't last longer than the decibel of the oath? There are probing questions being asked out there, not only by the electorate but among investors and the diaspora, on this ugly and unfortunate constitutional saga.
