A Diplomatic Affair

Diplomatic Week was off to a great start as the Consular Corps and the Diplomatic Corps of Jamaica met to celebrate the annual event at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel Tuesday night.
The Montego Bay Suite came to life as specially invited guests turned up elegantly attired to partake in a grand affair. Under the exquisite chandelier of the ballroom, the mixing and mingling soared to new heights as flashing lights made many pause for notable photo opportunities.
Those in attendance also grew familiar with the savoury and sweet buffet available, investing in several servings to satiate their appetites. The desire to quench their thirst was fulfilled by either making direct contact with the bar or placing their orders with the numerous waiters floating throughout the ballroom.
The reception set to mark Diplomatic Week is not just about the social mingling. It's an opportunity for residential and non-residential ambassadors to partner with their Jamaican counterparts in cementing trade relations and developmental initiatives and contributing to numerous initiatives to assist the less fortunate.
The very short formalities welcoming all present out of the way, the merriment resumed with everyone eagerly anticipating more of the other events in store for the rest of the week.
