Under-15s for Cayman tournament.
National Under-15 coach, Aaron Lawrence, says winning the Cayman International Youth Football Tournament, which takes place in the Cayman Islands from February 19-21 would be a major boost for the national programme, which has suffered gravely in recent months.
"It would mean a lot for the country especially based on what has been happening to other teams and football in Jamaica recently. So, it would be a big boost for us to win this competition or do well. If we do not win we hope to make it to the final and that would say a lot for our programme," he said.
The squad will travel to the Cayman Islands next Thursday for the round robin tournament, which includes defending champions, English League one outfit Swindon Town FC Under-15s, an Under-16 Cayman Athletic Sports Club Select and a Future Sports Club Select Under-15 team.
The tournament will form part of the young Reggae Boyz's preparation for the CONCACAF Under-15 championship to be held in the same country in August.
