A curfew remains in effect in sections of Mountain View Avenue, Kingston 2.

Area Commander for Kingston East, Superintendent Michael Bailey, says the curfew was imposed as a result of the drive by killing of Andre Mills on Tuesday night.

The boundaries for the curfew in the Goodrich Lane community are as follows:

North along Mountain View Avenue from Paddington Lane to Deanery Avenue, West along Third Avenue from Deanery Avenue to Third Avenue Gully, South along Third Avenue Gully from Third Avenue to Paddington Lane and East along Paddington Lane from Mountain View Avenue to Third Avenue Gully.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Bailey says another curfew will be imposed after the first one is lifted at 6 p.m.

He says the second curfew will last until 6 a.m. tomorrow.

During this time movement will be restricted as per the instructions of the ground commander.
