St Lucia will host the AFNA Championship in July, with the competition expected to serve as a qualifier for next year’s International Federation of Netball Associations, IFNA, World Netball Championship in Singapore.
The six teams competing for the two spots in the July 22 to 28 event will be Barbados, Canada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States and the hosts.
Regional powerhouse Jamaica will not have to qualify for the Singapore Championships by virtue of their number four World ranking.
The Sunshine Girls are expected to be in action at the IFNA Netball World Series in Liverpool, England in mid-November.
The AFNA annual general meeting will be held during the championships in St Lucia.
