Two killed in Old Harbour Bay, Jamaica

A 39-year-old woman and a 17-year-old man were shot dead by unknown assailants at Panton Town, Main Street, Old Harbour Bay, St. Catherine, Jamaica last night.

Dead are Suzette Chaplen, and Lancewell ‘Pasco’ McLeod, in the parish.

According to the police, around 9.50 p.m., Chaplen, who is the operator of a bar and restaurant, locked up her business place and was heading home. She was in the company of McLeod. Upon reaching her gate, they were attacked by gunmen who opened fire hitting them.

Chaplen died on the spot. McLeod was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Old Harbour Police are investigating.
