Director of Elections Orette Fisher says he has been assured by the police that there are adequate security arrangements for the North East St Ann by-election.
Both candidates in the by-election are expressing optimism about the results at the polls.
Devon Evans of the Marcus Garvey Peopleís Political Party says he is focused on encouraging electors to go out and vote.
While the campaign team for Shahine Robinson of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) says it is expecting a landslide victory.
Robinsonís Campaign Manager Tyrone Robinson said the team is well prepared.
In a statement last night Robinson said for the past nine years she has worked tirelessly at representing the constituency.
She has pledged to continue to work to ensure that the constituency deals effectively with the many challenges and boost efforts of social and economic development.
In the meantime, Robinson chastised the Peopleís Nation Party for not contesting the North East St Ann by-election.
