Financial Analyst Dennis Chung says he does not believe the People’s National Party’s (PNP) plans to extend the deadline for tax reform will affect the country’s agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Tax reform has been one of the issues which Jamaica is expected to resolve, as it seeks to bring the IMF agreement back on track.

However yesterday, head of the PNP's transition team, Dr. Omar Davis, said he did not think the incoming administration would meet the April timeline put forth by the Andrew Holness Administration.

Financial analyst Dennis Chung said the PNP administration could take time to refocus the tax reform goals on growth rather than just on earnings.
