Tivoli, Boys’ Town advance to Jackie Bell semis

Premiership teams Tivoli Gardens and Boys’ Town have booked their spots in the semi-finals of the Jamaica Yellow Pages/Jackie Bell Knockout competition following the second-leg quarterfinal games yesterday.

Tivoli Gardens, the Premier League champions, defeated Super League team August Town 2-0 at Mona in the second-leg quarterfinal to advance 4-0 on aggregate.

The west Kingston side had pulled off a 2-0 victory in the first leg on January 10.

Roland Dean and Dale Kelly scored the goals for Tivoli Gardens yesterday.

Boys’ Town advanced 3-1 on aggregate following a 1-all draw against Super League champions Cavalier in the second leg at Collie Smith Drive.

Boys’ Town had won the first leg 2-0.

Renae Lloyd handed Boys’ Town a 1-0 lead yesterday, but Chevone Marsh equalised for Cavalier in time added on.
