Twenty-seven year old Suzan Smith, the woman accused of the murder of her sister in Portsmouth, Portmore, St Catherine was today remanded until April 27.

Suzan Smith appeared before Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court to answer to the murder of 34-year-old Stacey-Ann Smith.

Stacey Ann was visiting Jamaica from the Cayman Islands.

It is alleged that on February 1, Stacey-Ann was strangled during a fight with Suzan.

Suspicions arose after Suzan was observed with damaged dentures, soon after an overwhelming odour began coming from her house.

Stacey-Ann’s body was eventually found on February 6, cemented at the rear of the yard.
