Tourism minister Dr. Wykeham McNeill has revealed that the world-famous Loverís Leap attraction in St. Elizabeth will be reopened next month.

The attraction was closed almost two years ago, after the operator suddenly ended the lease arrangement with the property owner, the Tourism Product Development Company.

On the weekend, Dr. McNeill told South Coast stakeholders at a meeting in Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth that he was saddened that Loverís Leap has been closed for so long.

He said refurbishing work will begin on the attraction today and it should be reopened in two weeks.

Dr. McNeill also said a long-term plan will be developed for the operation of the attraction.
