Three prisoners injured in crash

Three prisoners being transported in a police service vehicle were injured this morning in a crash along the Lacovia Main Road in St. Elizabeth.


The incident happened about 9:30 a.m.

The prisoners were being taken to Kingston.

It’s reported that the police service vehicle was travelling along the roadway when it collided with a motor car

It’s further understood that the driver of the car was speeding.

The service vehicle was reportedly extensively damaged as a result of the collision.

The prisoners were taken to the Black River Hospital where they were treated and released while the female motorist was admitted in stable condition.
