Digicel: Beware of scammers

Telecommunications company Digicel is warning customers to be on the alert for scammers, who may contact them saying they have won cash and prizes in a promotion.

It said scam artists have also been sending text messages to customers from the number ‘555’ telling them that they have won 850 British pounds as part of a promotion.

However, Digicel said it is not affiliated with those promotions.

Director of Marketing for Digicel Jamaica, Conor Looney, is advising customers to take precaution before giving out personal information and to be extremely cautious about such calls and text messages.
