The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has named the members of an independent strategic review commission to make recommendations to transform the party.
The team, chaired by Professor Bernard Headley, also comprises Reverend Dr. Maitland Evans, Dr Marcia Forbes, Dr Lloyd Waller and Professor Neville Swaby.
The team will also conduct a thorough review of the party’s strategies and systems leading up to the December 29, 2011 general election.
The JLP lost that election to the People’s National Party 42-21.
Meanwhile, in the March 26, Local Government election, the party failed to win majority control in any of the 14 councils and municipalities.
JLP leader Andrew Holness says the party hopes to complete all reviews by November.
Its professional affiliate Generation 2000 has already completed its review.
