Man accused of raping step-sister granted bail
A St Catherine man accused of raping his step-sister was granted $200,000 bail when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
He is Dwayne Marriot, a 25-year-old musician of a Portmore, St Catherine address. Marriott is alleged to have sexually assaulted his 16-year-old step-sister at home.
Marriott’s attorney, Courtney Maxwell made a successful bail application saying his client was not a flight-risk and had a clean record.
The accused was granted bail on the condition that he kept away from the complainant.
He is to return to court on May 22.
