Man, woman arrested after gun find
A man and a woman are now in police custody following the seizure of an illegal gun in Bog Walk, St Catherine.
The police say about 9:30 this morning, a police party went to a house on Church Road where a Ruger 9 millimetre pistol along with a magazine along with 26 rounds of ammunition were found in a stove.
The man was taken into custody on suspicion of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition charges.
Further investigation by the police led to the arrest of the woman.
The names of the suspects have being withheld pending further investigation
