The police in St Catherine are searching for a group of gunmen who last night robbed a bar in the Dunbeholden district in the parish.

Reports are that about 11 p.m., three armed men, who were hiding in a nearby cane field, emerged from the bushes and forced the occupants of the bar to lie face down.

They then robbed the patrons of cellular phones, money and took goods from the bar. Two patrons were also gun butted by the men before they made their escape back into the cane field.

Dunbeholden residents say the community has been plagued by robbers in recent weeks.
