Three members of a Kingston family are facing criminal charges for allegedly operating an illegal pharmacy.

They are 53-year-old technician Bancroft Buchanan; 53-year-old housewife Autherine Audrey Buchanan and 23-year-old Michael Buchanan, all of Collie Road in Kingston.

The St Andrew South Police say they were arrested and charged yesterday with breaches of the Pharmaceutical Act.

The arrests were made after the police raided an illegal pharmacy that was allegedly being operated in the Kingston 11 area.

They were each granted bail in the sum of $100,000 and are expected to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
