The police have issued an advisory to motorists to exercise caution on the nation’s roadways due to the inclement weather.

The police advisory follows the deaths of two motorists this morning in separate incidents in the Kingston Metropolitan Region.

In the first of the two incidents, 39-year-old Rupert Johnson was killed as he lost control of his Honda motorcar along Windward Road in Kingston about 4:30 this morning.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) are that he collided into a utility pole and sustained multiple injuries. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In the other incident, a man, who has not been identified, was killed after he lost control of his Toyota Noah motor vehicle and also crashed into a utility pole.

The crash occurred in the vicinity of Central Village as he headed toward Spanish Town.
