Clinton donates US$2.6 million to Haiti

Former US president Bill Clinton is to leave Haiti today, following a visit during which he contributed US$2.6 million to the re-development of the country after the 2010 earthquake.

The contribution from the Clinton Global Initiative is to help to renovate the tourism sector, Regis Collage Nursing schools and provide a loan to the Haitian Development Bank.

Clinton and his delegation will tour one of Haiti's historical landmarks, visit the airport in Cap Haitien before ending his visit at Labadee’s port on the north coast.
