The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) urging women to refuse from harbouring criminals in the fight for justice.

The JCF says this will go a long way in the struggle to reclaim Jamaica and adds that it stands ready to assist, in any way possible, those who may need help.

The appeal by the JCF comes as it responds to concerns raised by residents about the number of curfews being imposed in several communities across the island.

In a statement released on Friday, the JCF urged the public to look beyond the inconvenience caused by the curfews and understand that they deny hoodlums the opportunity to kill, maim and destroy lives.

The JCF says women have a unique position of power in the fight against crime and adds that the time has come for them to take a stand.
