Team Portia Wins PNP Presidential Election Race

Portia Simpson-Miller has won the People's National Party's (PNP) Presidential Election race today.

Nearly 4,500 delegates of the PNP voted to either retain Simpson Miller as party president, or to elevate Phillips to the post.

The matter is now settled with Portia Simpson Miller winning by 2332 votes from a total of 4291 to continue her Presidency. While Arise and Renew recieved some 1959 votes.

She replaced former Prime Minister and President of the PNP P.J. Patterson in 2006.
