LONDON, England:
Jamaica’s 800m competitor Kenia Sinclair is the lone injury concern in the camp, ahead of tomorrow’s start of athletics competition at the London Olympic Games.
Sinclair, who has had a troubled season, is said to be labouring to get ready ahead of the August 8 start of the 800m inside the London Olympic Stadium.
Jamaica’s technical leader Donald Quarrie, confirmed Sinclair’s injury concerns to The Gleaner and said that she will be assessed on a ‘day-to-day’ basis.
“Kenia Sinclair have been having some knee issues,” said Quarrie, when contacted a short while ago.
Sinclair, comes into the Olympic Games with a season best of 2:01.55, which is some way off her personal best time of 1:57.88 or the 1:58.21 that she was running at this point last year.
