LONDON, England:
The London Olympic Stadium has been sold out for the first time since the start of the games with some 80,000 spectators today as Track and Field action gets underway.
Fifteen Jamaicans are in completion today with fourteen of them in track and field.
The fifteenth athlete, Alia Atkinson, was in the pool at 4:15 a.m (Jamaica time) for the 50m freestyle.
Alia placed fourth in her heats clocking 25.98 seconds, just outside Jamaica’s national record of 25.95 set by Natasha Moodie.
