Jamaica's 4X400m women's team is through to the final slated for tomorrow at 2:25 p.m.
This afternoon the team of Christine Day, Shereefa Lloyd, Shericka Williams and Rosemarie Whyte won their heat in 3:25.13.
Jamaica entered the day with a medal haul of nine after Usain Bolt led home a clean sweep in the men’s 200 metres yesterday.
The country is now on course to equal or better its best medal-haul at the Olympics.
At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Jamaica achieved a historic medal-haul of 11.
That medal-haul comprised six gold, three silver and two bronze.
