American Aires Merritt has broken the world record in the men’s 110m hurdles clocking 12.80 at the Diamond League meeting in Brussels.
Dayron Robles of Cuba had held the record of 12.87 set in Ostrava in June 2008.
Merritt led a 1-2 finish for America with Jason Richardson finishing second in 13.05.
Jamaica’s Hansle Parchment was third in 13.14.
