Detectives at the Constant Spring police station are at this hour continuing their questioning of three men taken into custody in connection with the murder of retired Senior Superintendent of Police Anthony ‘Tony’ Hewitt.

Raymond Francis, Jermaine Smith and Jomo McLeod, who have been in custody since Monday, began facing questions from police investigators earlier today.

The men, accompanied by attorney-at-law Christian Tavares Finson, had turned themselves in after two of them were listed as persons of interest by the police.

Meanwhile, a fourth man wanted for questioning in connection with the attack on the retired police superintendent turned himself in today.

The man, whose name is being withheld, was accompanied to a police station this morning by his attorney.

Police sources say the man is a major suspect in the killing.

Hewitt was shot multiple times by gunmen on Donmair Avenue off Red Hills Road in St Andrew on Sunday.

He died later at hospital while undergoing treatment.
