Police questioning bus owner in Half Way Tree crash

Investigators, from the traffic department are now questioning the owner of the bus, which was involved in a fatal crash along Half-Way Tree Road in St. Andrew on Monday evening.

Head of the department, Senior Superintendent, Radcliffe Lewis, said the man who was assigned to drive the bus, as well as the conductor are also being interviewed.

However, he said the location of the man who was driving the bus when it hit six pedestrians is still not known.

The crash claimed the life of 18-year-old Mellissa Thompson.

Earlier reports indicated that the driver of the bus veered off the road to avoid colliding with a vehicle which was in front of it.
