The police are probing what they believe is a case of murder, following the discovery of the body of a woman at an apartment at Columbus Heights in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, yesterday afternoon.
Superintendent Gary Francis said about 2 o’clock yesterday, the police responded to a call regarding the discovery of the body.
He said when the police arrived, they found the body in a pool of blood with what appeared to be stab wounds to the left side of the neck.
The police say there was no sign of forced entry to the apartment.
It is believed that the body is that of a sales representative from Kingston, who had checked into the apartment on Monday to conduct business in Ocho Rios.
