Water provided by the National Water Commission has been dubbed the "best tasting drinking water in the region".

This was decided by a panel of water experts at the 21st Annual Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association conference and exhibition in The Bahamas.

Some 25 regional water utilities were invited to submit samples of their best tasting tap water to be judged by a panel of judges.

Companies in The Bahamas, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, Suriname and Jamaica submitted samples.

The sample from Jamaica was taken from the Seaview Water Treatment Plant.
