Illegal firearm seized

Another illegal firearm is now off the street after the Papine police arrested a man for the illegal possession of a home-made firearm and ammunition yesterday afternoon.

The Papine police say about 5:47 yesterday afternoon, they responded to a robbery in progress on the Hope Gardens compound by two armed men.

They say on their arrival, they arrested one man and seized the homemade handgun.

His crony managed to escape.
