There was a traffic pile-up along the Sligoville Main Road in St. Catherine yesterday evening, after a man was murdered along the thoroughfare.

It is reported that Mathew Grant, a 24-year-old labourer of Waterloo District in Spanish Town, St Catherine was shot and killed by unknown assailants.

Residents of Mount Moreland report hearing explosions about 7 o’clock and when checks were made Grant was found injured.

The police later confirmed that he had been shot.
