Officials of the University of Technology (UTech) are expected to issue a statement this afternoon about last night’s incident in which an alleged gay male student was beaten by a security guard.

UTech’s Director of Advancement, Hector Wheeler says officials are locked in a meeting and will comment officially on the issue via a statement later this afternoon.

Wheeler says he couldn’t disclose any other details.

Our newscenter understands that the student was mobbed after he was allegedly found in a compromising position with another male student.

A you-tube video shows the alleged gay man being kicked, punched and slapped by two male security personnel in a room while a female security guard watched with a piece of board in hand.

The security officers had reportedly taken him to the room to shield him from the mob.
