Detectives assigned to the St. Andrew South Police Division have laid a capital charge against a 30-year-old security guard arising out of the death of a bus conductor.

The conductor was allegedly kicked from a moving vehicle on October 17.

The security guard has been identified as Kevin Brissett, while the deceased conductor is Trevor Wright.

According to reports, Brissett was a passenger on a coaster bus for which Wright was the conductor.

The bus was being driven on Spanish Town Road when both men reportedly got into a dispute, resulting in Wright being kicked from the vehicle.

He was crushed by another vehicle and died on the spot.

Brissett is booked to appear in court later this week.
