The Mandeville police have made at least one arrest as they continue a series of major police-military operations in several communities near Mandeville.

The police say a man was arrested in Swaby’s Hope and a Smith and Wesson firearm taken from him last night.

The man was reportedly found with the illegal weapon during a search of several men at a dance in the Manchester community.

The police say the promoters of the dance did not get permission to stage the event.
