JLP leader warns errant party members

Jamaica Labour Party leader (JLP) Andrew Holness has issued a stern warning to errant party members.

He says the party will not tolerate the behaviour of those deemed errant.

The warning follows calls for Holness to reign in JLP Member of Parliament Everald Warmington, who applied for a court injunction on the weekend to bar the nomination of Audley Shaw, Dr Christopher Tufton and Desmond McKenzie who were seeking re-election as deputy leaders.

The impasse resulted in West Portland Member of Parliament, Daryl Vaz not attending today’s annual conference at the Jamaica Conference Centre downtown Kingston.

Speaking with The Gleaner/ Power 106 News Centre this morning, he said it was time for the party leadership to deal with Warmington.
