Man arrested, illegal guns seized

A man is now in police custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm yesterday.

The police say the weapon was recovered following a search of a man, who was seen walking along Rhoden Crescent, in Kingston.

They say two rounds of ammunition were also found in the manís possession.

Meanwhile, the police say a 9 millimeter pistol was found in an open lot in Portmore Lane, Portmore, St. Catherine yesterday.

They say a team searched the lot following a tip-off.
