Woman, neighbour killed in St Mary

A woman and her neighbour were killed during a robbery in Farm Pen near Gayle in St. Mary last night.

The police have identified the victims as Lily-May Burton-Anderson and Winston Brown.

They say Burton-Anderson and her husband arrived home shortly before 9 o’ clock when the woman went inside.

They say shortly after the husband heard his wife screaming and went to investigate.

He reported that she was found with gunshot wounds.

The couple’s neighbour who they say had come to their rescue was also shot.
The husband was not harmed.

The police say the gunmen escaped after robbing the couple of an undetermined sum of money and cell phones.
