Two held for illegal gun

Two persons were taken into custody following the seizure of an illegal firearm on Mountain View Avenue, Kingston 3 this morning.

The police are withholding their identities pending further investigations.

However, they say the Colt .45 semi-automatic pistol with a magazine containing five rounds was recovered during an operation in the area, by a team from the Mountain View Police.

The police say following investigations the two were accosted and taken into custody.
