Published: Wednesday January 9, 2013 | 11:07 am Comments 0

The Kingston and St Andrew Cooperation (KSAC) and the Police are expected to be out in large numbers today as they crack down on illegal vending in the Corporate Area.

The operation is expected to last for two weeks.

Town Clerk Errol Greene says the operation will begin in Papine and surrounding areas then move to downtown Kingston on the weekend.

Greene says the KSAC has been sensitizing persons to regularize their operation.

He also says itís now time to get tough and clean up the city.

The KSAC has blamed the pile up of garbage in sections on the Corporate Area on illegal vending and commercial entities that improperly dispose of their waste.
