The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is reporting that the police have killed 10 civilians since the start of the year.

INDECOM says eight of the incidents have happened since Monday, January 7.

One of them occurred in Granville, St, James; three in May Pen Clarendon; one in Deans Valley in Westmoreland; and one in Agronomy District, also in Clarendon.

There were also two police killings in Rivoli and Duncan’s Pen both in St Catherine.

Witnesses have reportedly given statements refuting the account given by the police in at least one of these shootings.
