UPDATE: 8-y-o girl shot, killed in Duncans

An 8-year-old girl was shot and killed in Duncans, Trelawny, last evening after a gunman reportedly opened fire on the occupants of a shop in the community.


She has been identified as Imani Green, who was visiting Jamaica from the United Kingdom.

It is reported that three other persons sustained gunshot wounds during the incident.

The police report that shortly after 8 o’clock last evening the gunman entered a shop in an area known as Red Dirt and opened fire hitting four people.

They were taken to hospital where Green succumbed to her injuries.
