Detectives from the Organiszed Crime Investigation Division (OCID) have listed a man alleged to have fleeced people of millions of dollars as a Person of Interest.

He has been identified as Horace Haughton, also known as ‘Omer Haughton’, ‘Dean Haughton’ and ‘Dr. Garcia Enriques Perez’.

The police said Haughton has fleeced more than $9 million from individuals, under the pretense that he could provide vehicles for them on hire purchase, if they provide an upfront processing fee of $70,000.

Individuals who reportedly made down payments and did not receive their vehicles then made reports to the police who subsequently launched a probe.

Haughton who reportedly operated from an Old Hope Road address in Kingston is being asked to immediately report to the Organised Crime Investigation Division's Orange Street offices.

In addition, anyone knowing his whereabouts is being asked to contact detectives at 922-3771, Crime Stop at 311, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.
