Elderly man killed in Hanover crash

An elderly man was killed this morning after the vehicle he was driving collided with another in Hanover.

The police say 53-year-old Albert Phillips of Mount Stewart, Westmoreland died from injuries he sustained in the crash which happened along the Burnt Ground main road about 1 a.m.

The Ramble Police say the vehicle being driven by Phillips crashed into a vehicle which was heading in the opposite direction.

Phillips and the occupants in the other car were taken to hospital where he died and the other persons treated and released.
